World of Losercraft

After a six month break, I'm back into an abusive relationship with the World of Warcraft. I give it my time, my attention, but it beats me down. It treats me like shit and I deserve better. Luckily I don't have a powerful enough laptop in my place to run it. I have to go back to my Mom's place to play. There is a sufficient amount of distance between the two places to give me peace of mind during the week.

In other news... I've learned that all the people I once knew in Poland have changed in my absence. Time did not stand still without me. In fact, it actually sped up. Imagine that.

And then... with a carryover calf injury from last week's 15K & Whiterock lake, my training for the Oct Triathlon has come to an unexpected stop. I am hoping to do some recovery lifting this week in the gym to strengthen the tender, weak, girly-man muscle which has taken up residence in my right calf. I will make it stronger or rip it out. Inexcusable, calf muscle. Real bush league shit.

Despite getting back into an abusive, one-sided relationship, learning that life can exist without me, and not being able to run to open road, I did fix up a friend's bike. The goal is to recruit more riding friends so that I can enjoy riding bikes with other people. Super-cool would be to all get snow cones and catch fireflies before our parents tell us it's time to come in and go to bed. Yeah, super-cool.
